I am so thrilled that you are coming out with a new book!
I am an older reader (in my 60’s) but I love scifi, thrillers and mysteries. I just discovered your books two years ago and have read every one I can get my hands on. They are just wonderful and I don’t know how I missed them all these years. My children have a standing order for Xmas to hunt for the hard to find ones. I’ve seen several authors recently (Harlen Coben for one) reissuing older books. I’d love to see you do that.
I agree with some of the other comments too. It is a testament to how much cell phones have changed the culture that you can’t help thinking… why didn’t he take a cell phone with him!
Can’t wait for the new book.

Will you be doing a signing for your soon to be released book?

    • admin says:

I don’t have any signings lined up, alas. I posted a message as admin recently and realized it ended up in the wrong place. New at this and trying to figure it out as I go. Anyway, in the future I intend to bring out all of my work as ebooks and it’s been pretty time consuming getting things lined up. Hope to have more new soon. Kate

So…if I were to walk across the street, could I request a signing. I live in the big blue house with the elaborate fall porch display and the new snazzy boxwoods!

I’ve been reading and enjoying the Barbara Holloway books, but I’m a little confused by the storyline around Barbara’s fiancee, John. In the second book, it sounded like John had died and left Barbara devastated, yet in the 4th book (Defense for the devil) it sounds like John is alive and that Barbara’s immersion in her work has probably cost her the relationship. Am I missing something?

  4. Irma Trommlitz says:

I just discovered your work and have read everything in the library. Thank you for your prolific storytelling and your generous support of other writers. Growing up an Oregonian and having attended the University of Oregon, it’s been particularly fun to follow Barbara’s adventures and your use of Oregon settings.

I have enjoyed reading your books on Oregon and Mystery. A high school friend in Nebraska show me a SF book back in the late 60’s that you wrote. I have moved to Oregon and
enjoy all it offers. I would be interested in your upcoming books and events. Thank you for storytelling.

    Hi Kate,
I was fortunate to meet you some years ago. Do you plan to do a book tour in Seattle for the new book? If not can a fan request signed bookplates? I would love to get my Halloway 1st edition books signed for my collection.
    Thank you!

  8. Douglas Blake says:

I am so happy that a new Barbara Holloway is out now, I’ve been waiting patiently for it. I started reading your early SF in the mags many years ago and have felt for many years that you are the finest author living and writing fiction. Thank you for the many years of great stories.
    a long long time fan

What is the title of the new book? I have to find it! I have read all of Barbara Holloway’s stories. They are great!
My son has lived in Portland, Oregon for the last 2 years, so I think of him when I’m reading your books.

Kate says: The newest Barbara Holloway novel is By Stone, By Blade, By Fire. Right now it’s available only in ebook format and as an audio book, but it will be a POD book in the fairly near future. It’s listed at Infinity Box Press, Amazon, Barnes and Nobel and other book outlets. Since Infinity Box Press is the press I started with my sons, I hope you go there first, but really just hope you find it, and like it.
